I Removed the exciter motor and found that the coupling that connects the exciter motor to the exciter was in many pieces, the exciter still turns freely as does the hydraulic motor, so I guess it just wore out since its only plastic. The steering and the drive still work fine and I believe the steering works off the exciter motors hydraulics.ill pm you my email address anyway, since you are the master of all manuals it seems. I was looking at the repair manual online and it looks like there may be a chance the coupler form the exciter motor to the exciter may have the potential to strip out, or the bearings seized on the exciter itself.
